Woodcraft Homes
We design and build custom homes the way good furniture gets made — one honest decision at a time, made to be lived in for decades, not just moved into.
The craft credo
We select lumber, stone, and hardware in person — board by board when it matters, not off a spec sheet. A material that reads right on paper can still be wrong in the hand.
Behind the drywall and under the trim, the connections are cut tight and fastened right. A house that's inspected once should still hold up to inspection forever.
Trends move faster than houses last. We choose proportions, materials, and hardware that get better-looking with wear, not details that read as dated in ten years.
What we build
Ground-up houses designed around how you actually live, not a floor plan pulled off a shelf. Every room has to earn its square footage before it gets built.
Structural and decorative timber brought into the rooms that call for it — exposed trusses, timber-frame entries, post-and-beam porches. Wood carries weight, visually and literally.
Additions and restorations that respect the bones of an older house instead of fighting them. New work is detailed to read like it always belonged there.
Standalone studios, workshops, and guest structures built with the same care as the main house. Small footprint, same standards — no shortcuts taken because the job is small.
The process
STEP 01 — LISTEN
Before any drawing happens, we spend real time understanding how you live now and how you want to live next — the rooms you use daily, the ones you don't, and why.
STEP 02 — DRAW
Concepts become drawings you can actually read: plans, elevations, and enough detail that you can see the house before a single stud goes up.
STEP 03 — PRICE HONESTLY
A line-item budget, not an allowance-padded number built to survive change orders. If something is expensive, you'll know exactly why before you commit to it.
STEP 04 — BUILD
Construction runs on a schedule you can see, with the same crew and site lead from foundation to final walkthrough — not a rotating cast of subcontractors you've never met.
STEP 05 — WALK THROUGH AT YEAR ONE
One year after you move in, we come back — not to sell you anything, but to check the doors still hang true, the joints still hold, and to fix what needs fixing. Most builders are gone by then. We're not.
Fast houses are easy.
Good houses are patient.
